About Garrett M Gouveia & Family

Hey, I’m Garrett—and I’m really glad you’re here.
Seriously. Whether you landed here on purpose or by accident, I don’t think it’s random. I think moments like this matter.
I’m a pastor, a husband to my incredible wife Ally, and a dad to three amazing (and very energetic) kids—Dakota, Declan, and Daisy. Life in our house is loud, full, and usually involves at least one kid talking over another, a dog barking at nothing, and me reheating my coffee for the third time. And honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Before I stepped into church ministry, I spent years as a hospital and hospice chaplain. I’ve sat with people in some of the hardest, most sacred moments of their lives—grief, fear, uncertainty… but also peace, hope, and deep, unshakable faith. That time shaped me. It taught me that faith isn’t about having perfect answers—it’s about knowing who to hold onto when life doesn’t make sense.
That’s the kind of faith I care about.
I believe church should feel like coming home—not walking into a place where you have to pretend you have it all together.
Because the truth is… none of us do.
I’m passionate about building a community where:
- You can show up as you are
- You don’t have to clean yourself up before coming in
- Questions are welcome
- Grace is real
- And nobody sits alone
I believe Jesus didn’t come for perfect people—He came for real people. People with stories. People with baggage. People who are still figuring it out.
(So… all of us.)
And I believe following Jesus isn’t about playing it safe—it’s about stepping into a life that’s bigger, fuller, and more meaningful than anything we could build on our own.
I’m not trying to be the guy who has it all figured out standing on a stage.
I’m trying to be the kind of pastor who walks with people.
The kind who:
- Listens more than he talks (…most of the time)
- Shows up when life gets hard
- Celebrates the wins—big and small
- And reminds you, over and over again, that God hasn’t given up on you
I care deeply about helping people discover who God created them to be—and then actually stepping into that life.
Because I really believe this:
You’re not here by accident.
Your life has purpose.
And God isn’t finished with you yet.
If you stick around, you’ll find a ministry that’s trying to live this out in real ways.
We’re not perfect. Not even close.
But we’re a group of people learning how to:
- Love God
- Love each other
- And love our community in a way that actually makes a difference
One More Thing
If you’re looking for a place to belong… I hope this can be that place.
If you’re unsure about church, unsure about faith, or unsure about where you stand with God—you’re not alone. And you don’t have to figure it all out before you show up.
Just come as you are.
There’s a seat for you here, and I’m really glad you’re here.
